- Despite what Microsoft would have you believe, Windows 95 sits on top of
- DOS 6.22 just like WfWG 3.11 did. Windows 95 is still not strictly an OS.
- Anything you type on the Win95 shutdown screen goes straight to a DOS
- prompt you can't see. Try format c: on your shutdown screen...
